Receiving Faxes Automatically: FAX ONLY MODE If you have a separate telephone line for fax use only, connect your machine to this line and set FAX ONLY MODE. Your machine will answer all calls as fax calls. Setting FAX ONLY MODE Follow this procedure to set the receive mode to FAX ONLY MODE: 1 Press Function. 2 Press Data Registration. DATA REGSTRATION 3 Press Set. USER SETTINGS 4 Use ∂ or ¨ to select RX SETTINGS. RX SETTINGS 5 Press Set. ECM RX 6 Use ∂ or ¨ to select RX MODE. RX MODE 7 Press Set. FAX/TEL AUTO SW 8 Use ∂ or ¨ to select FAX ONLY MODE. FAX ONLY MODE 9 Press Set. It receives faxes automatically and disconnects any voice calls. n The machine does not ring when it receives a fax call. If you want to be alerted when a fax call is received, connect the handset or an extension telephone to the machine, and enable the INCOMING RING setting (1 p. 14-7).
