6 Using Various Functions for Shooting Movies This chapter serves as a more advanced version of the "Shooting Movies" and "Viewing Movies" sections in Chapter 1, and explains how to use various functions for shooting and viewing movies. • This chapter assumes that the mode switch is set to E. • The latter half of the chapter explaining movie playback and editing assumes that the 1 button has been pressed to enter Playback mode. Shooting Movies in Modes Other than E • When the mode switch is set to A, the camera can automatically select all settings so that you can shoot movies (p. 30). • You can shoot movies by pressing the movie button, however, certain settings made in the ø and Shooting menus will automatically change to match settings for shooting movies. • When you finish shooting a movie, the settings will return to those before the movie was shot. 97
