Manually Setting Image Characteristics The ISO speed, contrast, sharpness and saturation settings can be adjusted for shooting. 1 In the [ (Rec.)] menu, select one of the above items. • See Selecting Menus and Settings (p. 38). 2 Select a value for the item and press the Menu button. ISO speed • Switch speeds when you are shooting in dark areas or want to use a fast shutter speed. • You can select from 50, 100, 200, 400 and AUTO. • The default setting is ISO 50. • When AUTO is selected, the camera automatically adjusts ISO between 50 and 100 only. • Higher ISO speeds increase the image noise. To take clean images, use as low an ISO speed as possible. Contrast • Select from - (Weak), 0 (Neutral) and + (Strong). Sharpness • Select from - (Weak), 0 (Neutral) and + (Strong). Saturation • Select from - (Weak), 0 (Neutral) and + (Strong). 3 Shoot the image. • This setting can only be selected in the , , or modes. Switch speeds when you are shooting in dark

When AUTO is selected, the camera
