Step 6 Enter the following commands to specify the public and private SNMP community names: Router(config)# snmp-server community public RO Router(config)# snmp-server community private RW Step 7 Enter the following command to enable the sending of SNMP traps: Router(config)# snmp-server enable traps Step 8 Enter the following command to specify the loopback interface from which SNMP traps should originate: Router(config)# snmp-server trap-source loopback number Step 9 Step 10 Where number is the number of the loopback interface you configured for the O&M in Step 3. At the configuration prompt, press Ctrl-Z to exit configuration mode.
