The Call Chaperone user intercepts and answers the call from calling party, manually creates a conference to the called party, and remains on the conference to supervise and record the call. Cisco Unified IP Phones that have the Call Chaperone feature configured on them have a Record softkey. The Call Chaperone user presses the Record softkey to record a call. For chaperoned calls, an announcement is played or spoken by one of the participants at the start of the call. An announcement will alert later participants in the call that the call is being recorded. The Call Chaperone feature is supported only with External Call Control, which allows Cisco Unified Communications Manager to route audio and video calls to a route server that hosts routing rules. Determines the information that will display for calling or connected lines, depending on the parties who are involved in the call.
