Chapter 2 Catalyst 3560 Switch Cisco IOS Commands ipv6 mld snooping tcn ipv6 mld snooping tcn Use the ipv6 mld snooping tcn global configuration commands to configure IP version 6 (IPv6) Multicast Listener Discovery (MLD) Topology Change Notifications (TCNs). Use the no form of the commands to reset the default settings. ipv6 mld snooping tcn {flood query count integer_value | query solicit} no ipv6 mld snooping tcn {flood query count integer_value | query solicit} Note This command is available only if the switch is running the advanced IP services image and you have configured a dual IPv4 and IPv6 Switch Database Management (SDM) template on the switch. Syntax Description flood query count integer_value query solicit Set the flood query count, which is the number of queries that are sent before forwarding multicast data to only those ports requesting to receive it. The range is 1 to 10. Enable soliciting of TCN queries. Command Default TCN query soliciting is disabled. When enabled, the default flood query count is 2. Usage Guidelines To configure the dual IPv4 and IPv6 template, enter the sdm prefer dual-ipv4-and-ipv6 {default | vlan) global configuration command and reload the switch. Examples This example shows how to enable TCN query soliciting: Switch(config)# ipv6 mld snooping tcn query solicit. This example shows how to set the flood query count to 5: Switch(config)# ipv6 mld snooping tcn flood query count 5.
