D-Link DGS-1100 Series Switch User Manual Multicast Filtering This window is used to view and configure the Layer 2 multicast filtering settings. To view the following window, click L2 Features > L2 Multicast Control > Multicast Filtering, as shown below: Figure 7-292 Multicast Filtering window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter Multicast Filter Mode Description Select the multicast filter mode here. Options to choose from are Forward Unregistered, and Filter Unregistered. When selecting the Forward Unregistered option, registered multicast packets will be forwarded based on the forwarding table and all unregistered multicast packets will be flooded based on the VLAN domain. When selecting the Filter Unregistered option, registered packets will be forwarded based on the forwarding table and all unregistered multicast packets will be filtered. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made. 57
