D-Link DSS-200G MP/MPP series Switch User Manual PoE Scheduling PoE Scheduling is a feature which allows you to specify the amount of time that power is delivered to a PoE port. This can be used to save power when devices are not in use, or as a security feature to prevent wireless access from being available outside of business hours, for example. It is possible to set a schedule name, a start time, an end time and which ports the PoE schedule applies to. To view the following window, click on the PoE Scheduling link in the navigation menu: Figure 5-11 PoE Scheduling Window The fields that can be configured for the Time Profile are described below: Parameter Description Range Name Enter a descriptive name for the PoE schedule. Days Check this tick-box to enable the schedule daily and gray-out the dayof-week fields in the From Time/To Time sections. From Time (Day/Hour) The start day and time for the PoE schedule. Click the calendar icon to pick this using a graphic calendar tool. To Time (Day/Hour) The end day and time for the PoE schedule. Click the calendar icon to pick this using a graphic calendar tool. PoE Scheduling
PoE Scheduling is a feature which allows you to specify the amount of time that power is delivered
to a PoE port. This can be used to save power when devices are not in use, or as a security feature
to prevent wireless access from being available outside of business hours, for example. It is possible
to set a schedule name, a start time, an end time and which ports the PoE schedule applies to.
To view the following window, click on the
PoE Scheduling
link in the navigation menu:

The fields that can be configured for the
Time Profile
are described below:
Parameter
Description
Range Name
Enter a descriptive name for the PoE schedule.
Days
Check this tick-box to enable the schedule daily and gray-out the day-
of-week fields in the From Time/To Time sections.
From Time (Day/Hour)
The
start
day and time for the PoE schedule. Click the calendar icon
to pick this using a graphic calendar tool.
To Time (Day/Hour)
The
end
day and time for the PoE schedule. Click the calendar icon to
pick this using a graphic calendar tool.
Click the
Apply
button to accept the changes made.
