--test_email To send a test email alert notification to all configured email recipients in the system, enter the following command string at the system prompt: NOTE: Verify that the configured email recipients receive the test email notification sent to them. This is an important check that proves they can receive DR4000 system alert notifications. administrator@mydr4000 > alerts --test_email Test mail sent. --snmp_add, --host , --port , --community To set SNMP traps for a host, define its host name, port number, and list the corresponding SNMP community, enter the following command string at the system prompt: administrator@mydr4000 > alerts --snmp_add --host 10.12.14.20 --port 1550 --community snmpPublic1 Host "10.12.14.20" added to SNMP alert recipients. If no options are specified, the following prompts are shown: administrator@mydr4000 > alerts --snmp_add --host missing: Name of management console that listens to SNMP traps. --port missing: Port number on host that is listening for SNMP traps. --community missing: Name of SNMP community. --snmp_delete, --host To delete SNMP traps for a host, identify the host name by entering the following command string at the system prompt: administrator@mydr4000 > alerts --snmp_delete --host 10.10.10.12 Host "10.10.10.12" deleted from SNMP alert recipients. 16 Managing the DR4000 System
