System-diagnostic lights This section lists the system-diagnostic lights of your Inspiron 16 Plus 7630. Table 42. System-diagnostic lights Blinking pattern Amber White 1 1 Problem description TPM detection failure Suggested resolution Replace the system board. 1 2 Unrecoverable SPI flash Replace the system board. failure 1 3 Short in hinge cable tripped Check if the display-assembly OCP1 cable (EDP) is seated properly or pinched at the hinges. If problem persists, replace either display-assembly cable (EDP) or display assembly (LCD). 1 4 Short in hinge cable tripped Check if the display-assembly OCP2 cable (EDP) is seated properly or pinched at the hinges. If problem persists, replace either display-assembly cable (EDP) or display assembly (LCD). 1 5 EC unable to program i-Fuse Replace the system board. 1 6 EC internal failure Disconnect all power source (AC, battery, coin cell) and drain flea power by pressing and holding down power button for 3~5 seconds. 1 7 Non-RPMC Flash on boot guard fused system 2 1 Processor failure Replace the processor. If the processor is onboard, replace the system board. 2 2 System board: BIOS or ROM Replace the system board. (Read-Only Memory) failure 2 3 No memory or RAM Confirm that the memory (Random-Access Memory) module is installed properly. If detected problem persists, replace the memory module. 2 4 Memory or RAM (Random- Confirm that the memory Access Memory) failure module is installed properly. If problem persists, replace the memory module. 2 5 Invalid memory module Confirm that the memory installed module is installed properly. If problem persists, replace the memory module. 2 6 System-board or chipset error Replace the system board. 2 7 Display failure - SBIOS Replace display-assembly message cable (EDP) if possible, Troubleshooting 97
