Option Serial Port SATA Operation Drives Smart Reporting USB Configuration Miscellaneous Devices Table 3. Security Option Administrative Password System Password Internal HDD-0 Password Description NOTE: Depending on the computer and its installed devices, the items listed in this section may or may not appear. Allows you to set the serial port settings. You can set the serial port to: • Disabled • Auto • COM1 • COM2 • COM3 • COM4 NOTE: The operating system may allocate resources even though the setting is disabled. Allows you to configure the operating mode of the integrated hard drive controller. • Disabled = The SATA controllers are hidden • ATA = SATA is configured for ATA mode Allows you to enable or disable the various drives on-board: • SATA-0 • SATA-1 • SATA-2 • SATA-3 This field controls whether hard drive errors for integrated drives are reported during system startup. This option is disabled by default. Allows you to enable or disable the integrated USB controller for: • Boot Support • Rear Dual USB Ports • Front USB Ports • Rear Quad USB Ports Allows you to enable or disable the Wi-Fi Radio. Description Allows you to set restricted access to system setup program. This option is not set by default. Displays the current status of the system's password security feature and allows a new system password to be assigned and verified. This option is not set by default.
