CAUTION: To avoid data loss, do not remove the hard drive while the computer is in sleep or on state. Prerequisites 1. Remove the base cover. 2. Remove the battery (half-length). Procedure NOTE: The hard drive is not available on systems shipped with 6-cell (full-length) battery. 1. Remove the four screws (M2x4) that secure the hard-drive cage to the palm-rest assembly. 2. 1.
Remove the four screws (M2x4) that secure the hard-drive cage to the palm-rest assembly.
2.
Lift the hard-drive cage off the hard-drive assembly.
