Align and place the power-button module and fingerprint-reader board (optional) on the palm-rest assembly. 2. Replace the two screws (M1.6x3) that secure the power-button module to the palm-rest assembly. 3. Replace the screw (M1.6x1.5) that secures the fingerprint-reader board (optional) to the palm-rest assembly. 4. Adhere the tape that secures the power-button module to the palm-rest assembly. 5. Adhere the fingerprint reader daughter-board cable (optional) to the palm-rest assembly. Post-requisites NOTE: The fingerprint reader is available depending on the configuration ordered. 1. Replace the system-board assembly. 2. Replace the fans. 3. Replace the heat sink. 4. Replace the wireless card. 5. Replace the solid-state drive (half-length) or the solid-state drive (full-length). 6. Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 6 in "Replacing the hard drive". 7. Replace the memory modules. 8. Procedure
1.
Align and place the power-button module and fingerprint-reader board (optional) on the palm-rest assembly.
2.
Replace the two screws (M1.6x3) that secure the power-button module to the palm-rest assembly.
3.
Replace the screw (M1.6x1.5) that secures the fingerprint-reader board (optional) to the palm-rest assembly.
4.
Adhere the tape that secures the power-button module to the palm-rest assembly.
5.
Adhere the fingerprint reader daughter-board cable (optional) to the palm-rest assembly.
Post-requisites
NOTE:
The fingerprint reader is available depending on the configuration ordered.

Replace the
