27 Removing the audio daughter-board NOTE: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer and follow the steps in Before working inside your computer. For more safety best practices, see the Regulatory Compliance home page at www.dell.com/regulatory_compliance. Prerequisites 1. Remove the base cover. 2. Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length). 3. Remove the memory modules. 4. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in "Removing the hard drive". 5. Remove the solid-state drive (half-length) or the solid-state drive (full-length). 6. Remove the wireless card. 7. Remove the fans. 8. Remove the heat sink. 9. Remove the system-board assembly. Procedure 1. Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the audio daughter-board to the system-board assembly. 2. Lift the audio daughter-board off the system board. Figure 24.
