The problem could be with the TV station. • Adjust the antenna. • Move your TV/DVD combo away from noise sources, such as cars, neon signs, or hair dryers. • Use a highly directional outdoor antenna or change to cable or satellite TV. • A few bright or dark dots on an LCD screen is normal. It does not affect the operation of this TV/DVD combo. • Increase the volume. • Press MUTE to make sure that the sound is not muted. • Make sure that the audio mode is set to Stereo or Mono. Remote control Problem Solution Remote control does not work • Replace the batteries. For more information, see "Installing remote control batteries" on page 9. • Make sure that the batteries are inserted correctly. For more information, see "Installing remote control batteries" on page 9. • Make sure that the power cord is plugged into an AC power outlet. Trouble programming your existing universal remote control. • See instructions and a table of common codes in "Programming a universal remote control" on page 10. • Codes are subject to change. For more information, see "Installing remote control batteries" on page 9. • Refer to the User Guide that accompanied your universal remote control and contact the manufacturer if problems persist. General Problem Cannot tune to one or more channels Cannot access some items Password is lost TV/DVD combo cabinet creaks Buttons do not work Solution • The program you want to watch may be blocked through the parental controls. For more information, see "Setting parental control levels" on page 25. • The channel may have been deleted from the channel list. You can tune to the channel by pressing the number buttons or you can add the channel back to the channel list. For more information, see "Changing channel settings" on page 19. • If a setting or option is grayed out, it is not available in the current input mode. • On the Parental Controls menu, enter 9999 for the password, then set a new password. For more information, see "Setting parental controls" on page 23. • When you are using your TV/DVD combo, the temperature inside the cabinet increases. This causes the cabinet to expand or contract, which produces the creaking noise. This is not a malfunction. • Unplug the power cord for a few seconds, then plug it back in and turn on your TV/DVD combo. Note: If the problem is not solved by using these troubleshooting instructions, turn off your TV/DVD combo, then turn it on again.

cabinet creaks
When you are using your TV/DVD combo, the
temperature inside the cabinet increases. This
causes the cabinet to expand or contract,
which produces the creaking noise. This is not
a malfunction.
Buttons do not
work
Unplug the power cord for a few seconds,
then plug it back in and turn on your TV/DVD
combo.
