Version 2.65 Jul. 2009 5.3.1.5. Communication Settings Screen (for key hook driver) Use this screen to set the details of Keyboard Hook Control. This screen appears if MSR/Keylock is selected in the add device screen. "Start hooking keyboard input for this device" radio buttons If the [Yes] button is selected, then the EPSON Keyboard Hook Control utility (hereafter referred to as "Hook Control") is placed in the Windows Startup group and when the system runs, monitoring of keyboard input to this device also starts. If the [No] button is selected, the hook control utility is not always loaded or placed in the Windows Startup group. In this case, however, it is possible to use this device in the OPOS application. If an input event occurs at this device when the keyboard interface device is not opened yet, then unanticipated keyboard input may result. To avoid this problem, it is necessary to register the hook control utility as the target of this device. Use this screen to set the details of
Keyboard Hook Control

This screen appears if MSR/Keylock is selected in the add device screen.
"Start hooking keyboard input for this device" radio buttons
If the [Yes] button is selected, then the EPSON Keyboard Hook Control utility
(hereafter referred to as "Hook Control") is placed in the Windows Startup group
and when the system runs, monitoring of keyboard input to this device also starts.
If the [No] button is selected, the hook control utility is not always loaded or
placed in the Windows Startup group.
In this case, however, it is possible to use this device in the OPOS application.
If an input event occurs at this device when the keyboard interface device is not
opened yet, then unanticipated keyboard input may result.
To avoid this problem, it is necessary to register the hook control utility as the
target of this device.
If no keyboard-monitoring driver is used, then these buttons become dimmed and
