Version 2.65 Jul. 2009 To cut a device Select the device name key and select Cut from the Edit menu, in tool bar, or from a pop-up menu, which is brought up by right-click. On Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista, the user must have the administrative permissions in order to use this function. ii. Copy This menu command copies character strings. Note that a device cannot be copied. To copy character strings Select the character strings, then select Copy from the Edit menu. iii. Paste This menu command pastes character strings that has been copied earlier, or moves a device that has been cut earlier to a valid port. Note that pasting a device (which has been cut earlier) backs to its original port or to another type of port (for example from COM1 to LPT3) is not allowed. Also, this command does not work if nothing has been cut or copied earlier. This command is valid only when "Port Connection View" is selected. To paste a device that has been cut earlier After copying the device, the [Paste] icon becomes enabled as well. Select a valid port, and then select Paste from the Edit menu. To cut a device
Select the device name key and select Cut from the Edit menu, in tool
bar, or from a pop-up menu, which is brought up by right-click.
On Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista, the user must
have the administrative permissions in order to use this function.
ii. Copy
This menu command copies character strings. Note that a device cannot
be copied.
To copy character strings
Select the character strings, then select Copy from the Edit menu.
iii. Paste
This menu command pastes character strings that has been copied
earlier, or moves a device that has been cut earlier to a valid port.
Note that pasting a device (which has been cut earlier) backs to its
original port or to another type of port (for example from COM1 to LPT3)
is not allowed. Also, this command does not work if nothing has been cut
or copied earlier. This command is valid only when “Port Connection
