"Maximum COM ports" edit field with spin buttons Set the largest number of serial (COM) ports that can be used. The range that can be chosen is 1 to 10. However, it is impossible to select a number which is smaller than the maximum number of COM ports currently in use. "System default" button Use this button to set the suitable value for the current system as the largest number of serial ports (COM). Before using this function, use the control panel of the OS to make sure the system has been configured correctly.
