Power save timer settings If no operations are performed for a certain period when power is on, the LCD display turns off automatically and the camera enters Power Save Timer mode to save battery power. Note: While the camera is in Power Save Timer mode, you can press any button to return to the previous mode. 1. Select Power Save Timer in the Basic Setup menu using the JOG dial, and press the ENTER button. For details on using the menu, see "Basic Setup menu" on page 42. 2. Use the JOG dial to select the length of time before the camera enters Power Save Timer mode, and press the ENTER button. You can select 3 min., 5 min. (default setting), 10 min., or 20 min. Assigning a function to the USER button You can assign one of the following functions to the USER button: Delete, Lock, Magnify, Print, Settings (current settings), and Film. Delete is the default setting. 1. Use the JOG dial to select Assign User Button in the Camera Settings menu, and press the ENTER button. For details on using the menu, see "Camera Settings menu" on page 41. 2. Use the JOG dial to select a function to be assigned, and press the ENTER button. The selected function is assigned to the USER button, and the screen returns to the Camera Settings menu. Confirming the current settings You can check the current settings on the LCD monitor. 1. Select Current Settings in the Camera Settings menu using the JOG dial. For details on using the menu, see "Camera Settings menu" on page 41. The Current Settings screen is displayed. Power save timer settings

Assigning a function to the USER button
You can assign one of the following functions to the
USER
button:
Delete

Settings
(current settings), and
Film
.
Delete
is the default setting.

Use the JOG dial to select
Assign User Button
in the Camera
Settings menu, and press the
ENTER
button. For details on using the
menu, see “Camera Settings menu” on page 41.
2.
Use the JOG dial to select a function to be assigned, and press the
ENTER
button.
The selected function is assigned to the
USER
button, and the screen
returns to the Camera Settings menu.
Confirming the current settings
You can check the current settings on the LCD monitor.

Current Settings
in the Camera Settings menu using the JOG
dial. For details on using the menu, see “Camera Settings menu”
on page 41.
The Current Settings screen is displayed.
2.
After confirming the setting information, press the
CANCEL
button to return to the Camera Settings menu.
