Detailed Operation ADS-B Traffic Set 1200 Pressing the Set 1200 key sets the ADS-B code to 1200. This code entered into the GMX 200 does NOT control the code on Mode A, C, or S transponders. Services The Services option allows emergency/service codes to be sent over the data-link radio. When pressed, a list of standard emergency/service codes will be presented. The desired emergency/service code can be selected and broadcast by pressing the Trans (Transmit) "smart" key or cancelled by pressing the Cancel "smart key." When an emergency/service code is being transmitted, the Services menu option key label is illuminated. To terminate the broadcast, press the Services key again. Three of the emergency/service codes temporarily change the ADS-B code value. Once the emergency/service code is terminated, the ADS-B code will revert back to the previously set ADS-B code. The GMX 200 must be configured as the UAT's control panel to make this function available. Press the Next Page key to display the next page of menu items. Traffic Menu Option Page 2 The second menu option page of the Traffic function lets you select options for the choices of Time, Altitude Filter, Altitude type, Flight Plan, and Traffic Map Orientation. ADS-B Traffic Menu Items (Page 2) Time The time interval option sets the amount of time to estimate the path and location of the traffic. The path of the traffic is shown by the line extending from the point on the end of the traffic arrow icon. The end of the line shows the point where the traffic item will be at the end of the selected time interval. Select 1, 1.5, 2-5, or 10 minutes with each press of the Time key. Traffic Altitude Filter For ADS-B equipped installs, an altitude filter allows targets that are outside of a ±2000 foot vertical range to be filtered off the display. This option is controlled via the Traffic Function Menu and causes the on-screen mode to change from "ALL" to "±2000" in the upper left of the Traffic Function screen. ADS-B Traffic
Set 1200
