Port information 10 D_Port limitations The D_Port state and test data is not synchronized between the ports. If one of the switches has a failover, the D_Port link goes though re-initialization. If the remote switch is in final state after reboot or failover, the D_Port tries to automatically start the test. However, the test cannot proceed as the other port is already in the final state. When the remote port is in stable state, the test terminates with the error "Remote port is not ready". If the test is restarted from either side, the test completes successfully. D-Port functionality is not supported with: • ICL ports • F_Ports • N_Ports (both Access Gateway and Host Bus Adapters) • R_RDY mode • Encryption mode • Compression mode Port information Use the following instructions to view information about ports and to help diagnose if your switch is experiencing port problems.
