6. Slide the keyboard (2) back at an angle until the tabs on the front edge of keyboard disengage from the slots in the top cover. 7. Remove the keyboard. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery cover and battery (see Battery on page 36). 5. Remove the memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see WLAN module on page 41). 6. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 49). Remove the audio/USB board: 1. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the audio/USB board. 2. Release the ZIF connector to which the audio/USB board cable is attached, and then disconnect the cable (2) from the system board. 3. from the audio/USB board.
2.
Release the ZIF connector to which the audio/USB board cable is attached, and then disconnect
the cable

from the system board.
3.
Release the grounding tape
(3)
that secures the audio/USB board cable to the base enclosure.
