Remove the Phillips PM2.5×3.5 screw, that secure the keyboard shield to the computer.

NOTE: You do not have to remove the display panel to remove the keyboard, but you do have to rotate the display hinges upward. 1. Remove the 2 Phillips PM2.5×5.5 screws that secure the left display hinge to the computer, and then rotate the hinge upward (2). 2. Remove the Phillips PM2.5×3.5 screw (1) and the Phillips PM2.5×5.5 screw (2) that secures the right hinge to the computer. 3. Rotate the hinge upward. 4. Remove the 9 Phillips PM 2.5x3.5 screws (1) that secure the keyboard shield to the computer. 5. Make sure the keyboard cable and keyboard backlight cable fit through the openings in the keyboard shield (2). Also note their locations when installing the shield.
