Reverse this procedure to install the back cover. Stand Description Stand Spare part number 796694-001 Before removing the stand, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the tablet. 4. Remove the back cover (see Back cover on page 22). Remove the stand: 1. Turn the back cover upside down with the bottom edge toward you. 2. Remove the eight Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screws (1) that secure the stand to the back cover. 3. Remove the stand (2). 4. If it is necessary to replace the stand hinges or hinge covers, remove the four Phillips PM1.9×2.5 broad head screws (1) that secure the hinges and hinge covers to the stand. 24 Chapter 5 Removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the stand, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is off or in Hibernation, turn the tablet on,
and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power cord from the tablet.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4.
Remove the back cover (see
Back cover
on page
22
).
Remove the stand:
1.
Turn the back cover upside down with the bottom edge toward you.
2.
Remove the eight Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screws

that secure the stand to the back cover.
3.
Remove the stand

If it is necessary to replace the stand hinges or hinge covers, remove the four Phillips PM1.9×2.5
broad head screws

that secure the hinges and hinge covers to the stand.
