2 Procedures This topic explains about the installation and configuration of the writing head. Visual inspection Follow the steps below to check the exit window and interface rubber washers. 1. Check that the exit window is clean. IMPORTANT: Cleaning is usually done with solvents - Avoid using volatile solvents, for example acetone, IPA, ethanol or ethylacetate, in the vicinity of the press ozone filter. The active material of the ozone filter is chemically sensitive to contact with solvents in liquid or vapor form. Such contact with the media, especially in new filters, can generate exothermic reactions resulting in a dramatic rise in temperature, which in turn can cause damage to the filter housing. 2. Check that the interface rubber washers: ● Are not damaged ● Are centralized ● Do not have free left-right movement Mounting the writing head and connecting the cables Follow the steps below for mounting the writing head and connecting the cables 1. Switch the press and computer off. 2. Verify that the serial number on the parameter diskette or CD matches the serial number on the writing head. 2 Chapter 2 Procedures
