Supported network operating systems The following operating systems support network printing: Recommended software installation ● Windows XP (32-bit, Service Pack 2) ● Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit) Print and scan driver ● Windows Server 2003 (32-bit, Service Pack 3) ● Windows Server 2008 ● Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) Printer driver only ● Linux (Web only) ● UNIX model scripts (Web only) Printer sharing disclaimer HP does not support peer-to-peer networking, as the feature is a function of Microsoft operating systems and not of the HP printer drivers. Go to Microsoft at www.microsoft.com. Connect with USB NOTE: Do not connect the USB cable from the product to the computer until the installer prompts you to do so. 1. Insert the product CD into your computer. If the software installer does not start, navigate to the setup.exe file on the CD and double-click the file. 2. Follow the installer instructions. 3. Allow the installation process to complete, and then restart the computer.
