Troubleshooting (continued) Problem PIP does not operate. Remote control does not operate Remote mouse does not operate computer. Compatibility issues with equipment attached to the projector. Image size is too small/large. Solution Check the cable connections. If there is a digital video source connected, PIP will not operate. PIP is always the inset picture, data will always be the background picture. The three AAA batteries may need to be replaced. 1. Make sure the Y-cable is connected to both the computer and the Multimedia Adapter. Do not connect both the USB and RS232 connectors to the computer at the same time. The USB connector is the preferred connector. 2. If the RS232 connection is being used, the remote control does not function until the serial port is initialized. You may need to restart the computer to initialize the serial port. Refer to Appendix C "Flash ROM Upgrade" for more information. If this does not resolve the problem, contact your Compaq authorized service provider or call Compaq Customer Support for help. Refer to the "Contacting Customer Support" manual included in the projector documentation kit for a complete list of customer support numbers to call. Adjust the manual zoom until the image is the desired size. Troubleshooting A-5
