Troubleshooting (continued) Problem Remote control does not operate Remote mouse does not operate computer. Compatibility issues with equipment attached to the projector. Image size is too small/large. Solution 1. The two AAA batteries may need to be replaced. 2. Verify that the batteries are installed properly. 1. Make sure the Y-cable is connected to both the computer and the Multimedia Adapter. Do not connect both the USB and RS232 connectors to the computer at the same time. The USB connector is the preferred connector. 2. If the RS232 connection is being used, the remote control does not function until the serial port is initialized. You may need to restart the computer to initialize the serial port. The remote control Page Up and Page Down functions require an additional driver when used with the RS232 connector. This driver can be found on the CD-ROM that came with your projector. Refer to Appendix B "Flash ROM Upgrade" for more information. If this does not resolve the problem, contact your Compaq authorized service provider or call Compaq Customer Support for help. Refer to the "Worldwide Telephone Numbers" booklet included in the projector documentation kit for a complete list of customer support numbers to call. Adjust the manual zoom until the image is the desired size. Troubleshooting 53
