Interface Specifications LAN-AUI and LAN-TP IEEE-802.3 is an industry standard network used to connect HP and other vendor's systems together. Besides the built-in Twisted Pair (TP) and AUI connections, the system board provides connections to several alternatives via an AUI connector. Through this connector, the customer chooses the MAU (Media Access Unit) adaptor or transceiver necessary to meet the site requirements. Only one interface can be used at a time, the system auto-selects the correct port that is being used. Supported MAUs are listed in Table 2-1. Table 2-1.
