Replacing a Hard Drive 1. Follow the steps in Removing a Hard Drive on page 26 to remove the hard drive. 2. Slide the replacement hard disk drive into the bay. NOTE: If you are replacing an old drive with a new drive, use the four retainer screws from the old drive to install the new drive. Figure 2-39 Installing the hard drive 3. Align the screw holes on the side of the hard drive with the holes marked "HDD" on the bay.
