Power Menu continued Item Function Monitor Video Activity Sets up the system to monitor video activity. If enabled, any activity on the screen (such as displaying a movie) prevents the monitor from powering down. Available options are Enabled or Disabled. Suspend Timeout Sets the timeout period for the system to enter Suspend Mode if not in use during a preset period. The Suspend Mode is determined by the Suspend Type item in the Suspend Controls submenu. Choices may be Suspend-toRAM or Suspend-to-Disk. When Suspend-to-RAM (Standby) mode is initiated, several subsystems enter standby or power-off mode to conserve power. The system wakes up when a key is pressed. Resume Timer and Ring Resume items will also wake the system from Suspend-to-RAM mode. When Suspend-to-Disk (Hibernation) mode is initiated, the system preserves all running application programs as a file in a suspend-to-disk partition on the hard disk.
