USB board Description USB board Spare part number 857470-001 Before removing the USB board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 34) b. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 35) c. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 37) d. Right speaker (see Right speaker on page 47) Remove the USB board: 1. Open the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) and release the USB board cable. 2. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 x 4.0 screws (2) that secure the USB board to the computer. 3.
