Requirements • HP notebook with media slice, floppy and CD-ROM/DVD drive • Retail Windows NT 4.0 CD-ROM • Windows NT 4.0 original boot floppy disks or 3 blank formatted floppies • Windows NT Service Pack 6a • A blank floppy to create the CMD CSA-64xx IDE driver floppy disk • HP Windows NT 4.0 Recovery CD or the Windows NT 4.0 driver package from the HP web site. Location: http://www.hp.com/omnibook. From the web site, click Technical Support, then click Drivers and Downloads, and search for OmniBook 500. This will take you to the driver package location. All the directory references in this section will be relative to the driver directory path. Important: Before installing Windows XP please install the latest BIOS for your HP notebook. To check your BIOS version, do the following: 10. Start the HP notebook. 11. Press F2 to enter Setup when prompted. 12. Check the BIOS Version in the upper left corner.
