Speakers Description Speakers (includes cables and four isolators) Spare part number 807535-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 28). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 33). Remove the speakers: 1. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board. 2. Release the speaker cables from the routing clips (2) and channel built into the base enclosure. 3. Remove the four Phillips PM2.5×5.5 shoulder screws (3) that secure the speakers to the base enclosure. 4. Remove the speakers (4). NOTE: When removing the speakers, make note of the location of the four rubber isolators (5). Failure to properly install or damage to these isolators can result in degraded speaker performance.
