3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 47), and then remove the following components: a. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 48) b. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 49) c. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 52) d. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 56) e. Top cover (see Top cover on page 60) NOTE: When replacing the system board, be sure that the following components are removed from the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board: ● Memory module (see Memory module on page 54) ● RTC battery (see RTC battery on page 78) ● Fan (see Fan on page 80) ● Heat sink (see Heat sink on page 81) ● Processor (see Processor on page 85) Remove the system board: 1. Close the computer. 2. Turn the computer upside down with the front toward you. 3. Disconnect the optical drive connector cable from the system board. 4. Turn the computer right side up with the front toward you. 5. Open the computer. 6.
