Power connector cable Description Power connector cable Spare part number 719859-001 Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 47), and then remove the following components: a. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 48) b. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 49) c. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 52) d. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 56) e. Top cover (see Top cover on page 60) f. RJ-45/USB board (see RJ-45/USB board on page 88) Remove the power connector cable: 1. Disconnect the power connector cable (1) from the system board. 2. Release the power connector cable from the clips (2) built into the base enclosure. 3. Release the power connector (3) from the clips and mold built into the base enclosure. 4. Remove the power connector cable. Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable. Component replacement procedures 89

1.
Disconnect the power connector cable

from the system board.
2.
Release the power connector cable from the clips

built into the base enclosure.
3.
Release the power connector

from the clips and mold built into the base enclosure.
4.
Remove the power connector cable.
Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable.
