Bluetooth module NOTE: The Bluetooth module spare part kit does not include a Bluetooth module cable. The Bluetooth module cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 607975-001. Description Bluetooth module Spare part number 537921-001 Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 49), and then remove the following components: a. Memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see Memory module on page 50) b. Hard drive cover (see Hard drive on page 58) c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 64) d. Top cover (see Top cover on page 67) Remove the Bluetooth module: 1. Disconnect the Bluetooth module cable (1) from the system board. 2. Release the Bluetooth module cable from the routing clips (2) built into the base enclosure. 3. Remove the Bluetooth module (3) and cable. Reverse this procedure to install the Bluetooth module and cable. Component replacement procedures 71

Before removing the Bluetooth module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the battery (see

on page
49
), and then remove the following components:
a.
Memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see

)
b.
Hard drive cover (see
Hard drive

)
c.
Keyboard (see
Keyboard

)
d.
Top cover (see
Top cover
on page

)
Remove the Bluetooth module:
1.
Disconnect the Bluetooth module cable
(1)
from the system board.
2.
Release the Bluetooth module cable from the routing clips
(2)
built into the base enclosure.
3.
Remove the Bluetooth module
(3)
and cable.
Reverse this procedure to install the Bluetooth module and cable.
