Speakers Description Speakers (include cable) Spare part number 606891-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 49), and then remove the following components: a. Memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see Memory module on page 50) b. Hard drive cover (see Hard drive on page 58) c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 64) d. Top cover (see Top cover on page 67) Remove the speakers: 1. Disconnect the speaker cable (1) from the system board. 2. Remove the Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screw (2) that secures the left speaker to the base enclosure. 3. Remove the left (3) and right speakers (4). Before removing the speakers, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

), and then remove the following components:

Remove the speakers:
1.
Disconnect the speaker cable
(1)
from the system board.
2.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screw
(2)
that secures the left speaker to the base enclosure.
3.
Remove the left
(3)
and right speakers
(4)
.
Reverse this procedure to install the speakers.
