Reverse this procedure to install the speakers. LED board Description LED board Spare part number 640215-001 Before removing the LED board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 44), and then remove the following components: ● Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 45) ● Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 47) ● Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 53) ● Top cover (see Top cover on page 57) Remove the LED board: 1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the LED board cable is connected, and then disconnect the LED board cable (2) from the system board. 2. Release the clips (3) built into the base enclosure that secure the LED board. 3. Lift the right edge of the LED board (4) to release it from clips built into the base enclosure. 68 Chapter 4 Removal and replacement procedures

Before removing the LED board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the battery (see

), and then remove the following components:

Remove the LED board:
1.
Release the ZIF connector
(1)
to which the LED board cable is connected, and then disconnect the
LED board cable
(2)
from the system board.
2.
Release the clips
(3)
built into the base enclosure that secure the LED board.
3.
Lift the right edge of the LED board
(4)
to release it from clips built into the base enclosure.
