Memory module Description Memory module (PC3-10600, 1333-MHz, DDR3, shared) 2048-MB 1024-MB Spare part number 598856-002 598859-002 Before removing the memory module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 44). 5. Remove the switch cover (see Switch cover on page 46). 6. Remove the keyboard (see Keyboard on page 48). NOTE: You can release the keyboard without removing the keyboard cable from the system board, and then rotate it right until it rests upside down on the right side of the computer to remove the memory modules. Remove the memory module: 1. Position the computer right-side up with the front toward you. 2. Spread the retaining tabs on each side of the memory module slot to release the memory module.
