Pre-Failure Battery Warranty The Pre-Failure Battery Warranty, standard on all UPS units, extends the advantage of a 3-year limited warranty by applying it to the battery before it actually fails. The Pre-Failure Battery Warranty ensures that the battery is replaced free of charge when a notification that the battery might fail is received from power protector software. The battery warranty coverage is 3 years for parts. The warranty for the first year of ownership includes parts and labor. If battery spares are not available for a particular UPS model, the entire UPS, including its battery, is replaced. A Pre-Failure Battery warning is given 30 days before a battery failure.
