Setting the time through an NTP server An NTP server can automatically set the switch date and time. To configure the switch to use an NTP server, enter the set setup system command in an Admin session to enable the NTP client on the switch and specify the NPT server IP address, as shown in the following example: 8/20q FC Switch #> admin start 8/20q FC Switch (admin) #> set setup system A list of attributes with formatting and current values will follow.
