System Overview 2.3.3 Support Components Input/output functions not provided by the chipset are handled by other support components. Some of these components also provide "housekeeping" and various other functions as well. Table 2-4 shows the functions provided by the support components. All models support DDR2 800- and 667-MHz DIMMs. ✎ DDR and DDR2 DIMMs are NOT interchangeable. The USDT system provides two SODIMM sockets supporting up to four gigabytes of memory while the SFF and CMT form factors provide four DIMM sockets and support a total of eight gigabytes of memory. ✎ SODIMM and DIMM components are NOT interchangeable. 2-8 www.hp.com Technical Reference Guide
