Settings Enable Smart Unlock Smart Unlock enables you to unlock your device with a Bluetooth device, such as a smart band. When a compatible Bluetooth device is detected, you can then unlock your device with a simple swipe. 1 Pair your device with the Bluetooth device. 2 On your device, go to Settings > Biometrics & password > Smart Unlock, and enable Smart Unlock. 3 Follow the onscreen instructions to set the lock screen password. Skip setting the lock screen password if a lock screen password has already been set. 4 From the Paired devices list, touch the name of the device you would like to use for Smart Unlock, and follow the onscreen instructions to set it as the Unlocking device. To learn more about Smart Unlock, touch on the Smart Unlock screen. Encrypt Content on the Memory Card You can encrypt files stored on the memory card. Encrypted files can only be viewed and used on your device. 1 Insert a memory card into your device and ensure that the memory card has sufficient storage space. 2 Go to Settings > Security > More settings > Encryption and credentials. 3 Touch Encrypt memory card and follow the onscreen instructions to encrypt the memory card. During the encryption, do not restart your device or forcibly remove the memory card. Otherwise, the encryption may fail or data may be lost. To decrypt a memory card, touch Decrypt memory card and follow the onscreen instructions to decrypt files on the memory card. Formatting a memory card can also decrypt the memory card, but will erase all data on the memory card. Encrypting and decrypting the memory card will not be supported if you are not logged in as the Owner. Set a SIM PIN Lock A PIN is the identity code of a SIM card, and can be set as the SIM card lock. After you set it up, you will be required to enter the correct PIN to unlock the SIM card every time you power on your device or switch to a new device to prevent unauthorised access. If you have entered a wrong PIN and exceeded the maximum number of attempts allowed to unlock the PIN, you will need to enter the PIN Unlocking Key (PUK) then reset the PIN. If you exceed the maximum number of attempts allowed to unlock the PUK, your SIM card will be permanently blocked. 159
