Removing and installing a microprocessor Your server supports only one microprocessor, which is installed on the system board in the microprocessor connector (U11). Notes: 1. Before you install a new microprocessor, review the documentation that comes with the microprocessor to determine whether you need to update the server BIOS code. The latest level of the BIOS code for your server is available through the World Wide Web. Refer to "Getting information, help, and service" on page 91 for the appropriate World Wide Web addresses. 2. For a list of supported operating systems, see http://www.ibm.com/pc/compat on the World Wide Web. Note: The illustrations in this document might differ slightly from your hardware. Removing a microprocessor Your comes with a heat sink or a fan sink installed on the microprocessor, depending on your server model.
