CD-ROM drive Before you begin: v Read "Safety information" on page 111. v Review the information in "System reliability considerations" on page 44. To remove the CD-ROM drive, do the following: 1. Power-off the server, if it is on. 2. Unplug the server. 3. Remove the cover (see "Removing the side cover" on page 45). 4. Disconnect the cables. 5. Remove the screws from the CD-ROM drive cage. 6. Gently slide the CD-ROM drive toward the front of the server and lift it out. To remove the CD-ROM drive, do the following:
1.
Power-off the server, if it is on.
2.
Unplug the server.
3.
Remove the cover (see
Removing the side cover
on page 45).
4.
Disconnect the cables.
5.
Remove the screws from the CD-ROM drive cage.
6.
Gently slide the CD-ROM drive toward the front of the server and lift it out.
