Hot Swap Backplane Assembly Removal Before you begin Read "Safety Information" on page 174. Turn off the server, if it is on. To remove the hot swap backplane assembly, do the following: 1. Remove the side cover and front bezel, see "Option Installation" on page 125. 2. Disconnect the cables attached the hot swap backplane assembly. 3. Remove the 5 pack cage assembly screws 1 4. Slide the 5 pack cage assembly out of the server 2 5. Remove the hot swap backplane assembly screws 3 to separate the card from the cage assembly. 96 Netfinity Server HMM

Before you begin

Read “Safety Information” on page
174.

Turn off the server, if it is on.
To remove the hot swap backplane assembly, do the
following:
1.
Remove the side cover and front bezel, see “Option
Installation” on page
125.
2.
Disconnect the cables attached the hot swap
backplane assembly.
3.
Remove the 5 pack cage assembly screws
±1²
4.
Slide the 5 pack cage assembly out of the server
±2²
5.
Remove the hot swap backplane assembly screws
±3²
to separate the card from the cage assembly.
