DASD Fan Assembly Removal Before you begin Read "Safety Information" on page 174. Turn off the server, if it is on. Attention When removing or replacing the fan, be sure to route the cables correctly to avoid damage to the SCSI cables and connectors. To remove the DASD fan assembly, do the following: 1. Turn off the server, if it is on.
Attention
When removing or replacing the fan, be sure to route
the cables correctly to avoid damage to the SCSI
cables and connectors.
To remove the DASD fan assembly, do the following:
1.
Remove the side cover, see “Option Installation” on
page 125.
2.
Release the fan assembly latch and slide the fan
assembly out of the server.
