Table 9. Processor Board Jumpers Jumper Name 1-4 Microprocessor core frequency selection (J27-J30) Description The default core/bus fraction is 3.5 (350/100 MHz). Jumpers are installed on pins 1 and 2 of J27 and J30; and jumpers are installed on pins 2 and 3 of J28 and J29. For the core/bus fraction 4 (400/100 MHz), the jumpers are installed on pins 1 and 2 of J28, J29, and J30; and a jumper is installed on pins 2 and 3 of J27. For the core/bus fraction 4.5 (450/100 MHz), jumpers are installed on pins 1 and 2 of J28 and J30; and jumpers are installed on pins 2 and 3 of J27 and J29. For the core/bus fraction 5.0 (500/100 MHz), jumpers are installed on pins 1 and 2 of J28 and J30; and jumpers are installed on pins 2 and 3 of J27 and J29. For the core/bus fraction 5.5 (550/100 MHz), jumpers are installed on pins 1 and 2 of J30; and jumpers are installed on pins 2 and 3 of J27, J28, and J29. Note For core/bus fractions of 4.5 and up (450/100 MHz and up), the system will automatically detect the microprocessor speed and will set itself up accordingly. Therefore, the jumper settings are not applicable. 8 J5 Reserved 15 J12 SDRAM selection 16 J13 Reserved 17 J8 Reserved 23 J7 Reserved 24 J24 Reserved 25 J6 Reserved 26 J16 Reserved 28 J23 System reset 29 J15 Reserved 3 J14 Reserved 31 J11 Reserved The default position is a jumper on pins 1 and 2. If the server has unbuffered SDRAM, a jumper should be on pins 1 and 2. If the server has registered SDRAM, a jumper should be on pins 2 and 3. The default position is a jumper on pins 1 and 2. The default position is no jumper on J8. The default position is a jumper on pins 1 and 2. The default position is a jumper on pins 2 and 3. The default position is a jumper on pins 1 and 2. The default position is a jumper on pins 1 and 2. In normal operation, there is either a jumper on pins 2 and 3 of J23 or no jumper on J23. Installing a jumper on pins 1 and 2 of J23 forces the system into the reset state. The default position is a jumper on pins 1 and 2. The default position is a jumper on pins 2 and 3. The default position is a jumper on pins 1 and 2. 230 Netfinity Server HMM
