Removing the bezel When you work with some optional devices, such as a CD or DVD drive or diskette drive, you must first remove the bezel to access the device. To remove the bezel, complete the following steps: 1. Read the safety information that begins on page v and the "Installation guidelines" on page 29. 2. Turn off the computer and all attached devices (see "Turning off the computer" on page 19); then, disconnect all power cords and external cables. 3. Remove the side cover (see "Removing the side cover" on page 35). 4. Press the bezel release button and pull the bottom of the bezel away from the chassis; then, pull downward on the handle. The top tabs of the bezel are disengaged from the matched holes in the chassis. Bezel release button 5. Removing
the
bezel
When
you
work
with
some
optional
devices,
such
as
a
CD
or
DVD
drive
or
diskette
drive,
you
must
first
remove
the
bezel
to
access
the
device.
To
remove
the
bezel,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
Read
the
safety
information
that
begins
on
page

the

2.
Turn
off
the
computer
and
all
attached
devices
(see
“Turning
off
the
computer”
on
page
19);
then,
disconnect
all
power
cords
and
external
cables.
3.
Remove
the

cover

on

35).
4.
Press
the
bezel
release
button
and
pull
the
bottom
of
the
bezel
away
from
the
chassis;
then,
pull
downward
on
the
handle.
The

bezel

chassis.
